FC Lokomotiv Gomel is a Belarusian football club based in Gomel.

History

The team was founded in 2008 as Gomelzheldortrans, and later that same year, they won the Gomel Oblast championship. Following a successful performance in the final tournament among the winners of regional leagues, at the end of the year, the Gomelzheldortrans were promoted to the Belarusian Second League. In 2014, Gomelzheldortrans made their debut in the First League.

In December 2016, the club changed its name to Lokomotiv Gomel

L'FC Lokomotiv Gomel (in russo: ФК "Локомотив" (Гомель) è una squadra di calcio bielorussa con sede a Gomel. Milita nella Vyšeišaja Liha, la massima serie del campionato bielorusso.

Il club venne fondato nel 1967 con la denominazione di MGOP Gomel. Nel 1996 assunse la denominazione attuale.

Il Lokomotiv Gomel ha vinto due Coppe di Bielorussia, nel 2000 e nel 2007, e una Supercoppa di Bielorussia nel 2008.

A livello internazionale, il Lokomotiv Gomel ha partecipato a sette edizioni della Coppa UEFA e tre edizioni della Coppa delle Coppe UEFA. Raggiunse gli ottavi di finale della Coppa UEFA 2002-2003, venendo eliminato dal Legia Varsavia.

I colori sociali del Lokomotiv Gomel sono il verde e il bianco. Lo stadio di casa è lo Stadio Centrale, che ha una capacità di 14.307 posti a sedere.
