Wikipedia - Einherji
Ungmennafélagið Einherji is an Icelandic sports club, based in Vopnafjörður, Iceland. The club is named after the einherjar, figures from Norse Mythology.
History
The club was founded in Vopnafjörður on December 1, 1929, as Íþróttafélagið Einherjar. The first chairman was Ingólfur Erlendsson. The name of the club was changed to Ungmennafélagið Einherjar in 1943 and later to Ungmennafélagið Einherji.

L'Einherji non si è mai qualificata per nessuna fase finale del Campionato mondiale o del Campionato europeo. Ha fatto il suo debutto internazionale il 12 agosto 1981, a Reykjavík, in Islanda, contro la Norvegia, perdendo per 2-1.
Il più grande successo dell'Einherji è stato il secondo posto all'Algarve Cup, nel 2023. Ha partecipato anche a tre edizioni della Cyprus Cup, raggiungendo le semifinali nel 2016.
