Samartex

Football Club Samartex 1996, more commonly known as Samartex, is a Ghanaian professional football team based at Samartex Park in Tarkwa that plays in the 2A Zone of the Ghana Division One League. Zone 2A has seven competing teams from the part of the Ashanti Region, Western Region and the Central Region of Ghana. The club was founded in 1995 by the Samartex Timber & Plywood Company as a recreational football club, and gained promotion from the Third Division to the Second Division of the Western Region in their first season.

Il Samartex Football Club è una squadra di calcio ghanese con sede a Samreboi, nella regione occidentale. Fondato nel 1982, il club gioca le partite casalinghe allo stadio Samreboi Park.

Il Samartex ha vinto la Ghana Premier League una volta, nel 1994, e la Ghana FA Cup due volte, nel 1990 e nel 1991. Ha anche rappresentato il Ghana nella CAF Champions League nel 1995 e nella CAF Cup nel 1991 e nel 1992.

Il Samartex è noto per il suo stile di gioco offensivo e per la sua capacità di segnare gol. La squadra è composta principalmente da giocatori ghanesi, ma ha anche alcuni giocatori stranieri, tra cui il nigeriano Nurudeen Yussif e il burkinabé Alassane Ouédraogo.
