CSD Amatitlan

Deportivo Amatitlán is a Guatemalan football club from Amatitlán, Guatemala Department. It was Founded on 30 September 1962 and currently plays on the Segunda División de Ascenso, third tier on Guatemalan football. Originally it was named Finanzas Industriales due to sponsorship by the Ministry of Finance of Guatemala. From 1985 it began to be named Deportivo Amatitlán. The team has participated several times at the highest level. The club also has a women's team.

Il Club Social y Deportivo Amatitlán, noto anche come Amatitlán, è una squadra di calcio guatemalteca con sede a Amatitlán. Fondato il 12 giugno 1958 e soprannominato Los Pecho Amarillo, il club gioca le partite casalinghe allo stadio Guillermo Slowing.

L'Amatitlán ha vinto il suo primo titolo di campionato nel 1968 e ha vinto altri quattro titoli negli anni '70, diventando così una delle squadre di maggior successo del Guatemala. Il club ha anche vinto due Coppe del Guatemala e una Supercoppa del Guatemala.

A livello internazionale, l'Amatitlán ha rappresentato il Guatemala nella CONCACAF Champions League e nella Coppa Centroamericana. La migliore prestazione del club è stata il secondo posto nella Coppa Centroamericana 1999.

L'Amatitlán è una delle squadre più popolari del Guatemala e ha una tifoseria numerosa e appassionata. Il club è rivale del Municipal e dell'Aurora, con cui disputa il Clásico del Sur.
