SSC-R Stags

The San Sebastian Golden Stags (also known as SSC-R Stags) are the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) basketball team of the San Sebastian College – Recoletos. Their 5 consecutive NCAA seniors basketball championships was the longest streak in the NCAA.

The other senior varsity teams may also be referred to as the Stags. The juniors team are the San Sebastian Staglets, while the women's team are the San Sebastian Lady Stags.

La SSC-R Stags è una squadra di basket filippina con sede a Bacolod. Fa parte della University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). La squadra è stata fondata nel 1952 e prende il nome dal San Sebastian College – Recoletos, l'università che rappresenta. Il suo campo di casa è il Bacolod Taytung Coliseum.

Gli Stags sono una delle squadre di maggior successo nella UAAP, avendo vinto 16 campionati. Hanno anche vinto tre titoli National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) prima di entrare nella UAAP nel 1986.

La squadra è guidata dall'allenatore Egay Macaraya. L'attuale roster degli Stags comprende i giocatori chiave Alvin Pasaol, CJ Perez, Allyn Bulanadi e Jason Perkins.

Gli Stags sono noti per il loro stile di gioco veloce e ad alto punteggio. Sono anche noti per la loro forte difesa, che è guidata dal centro Perkins.
