Green Island AFC

Green Island is a semi-professional association football club in Green Island, Dunedin, New Zealand. They played and won in 2020 the ODT FootballSouth Premier League. Since 2021, they plays at Southern League (tier 2)

The Green Island Association Football Club was first formed and accepted into the Otago Football Association in 1896 as the Green Island Football club situated at Harroways ground Burnside. Disbanded during the war years and reformed in the late 1940s. The clubrooms were situated at Miller Park until the Abbotsford slip in 1979 forced the club to move to its present site at Sunnyvale.

They won the FootballSouth premier league (tier 3) in 2020.

Il Green Island AFC gioca le sue partite casalinghe al Logan Park, uno stadio situato a Dunedin. Lo stadio ha una capienza di 9.000 spettatori.

Il club ha una forte rivalità con l'altro club di Dunedin, l'Otago United. Le due squadre si affrontano regolarmente nel derby di Dunedin, che è una delle partite più importanti del campionato neozelandese.
