Sham Shui Po Sports Association (Chinese: 深水埗體育會) is a Hong Kong professional football club based in Sham Shui Po District which currently competes in the Hong Kong Premier League.
History
Sham Shui Po began fielding a football team in the Hong Kong football league system in 2002 as part of a Hong Kong Football Association initiative to involve district representative teams. Sham Shui Po were part of a group of 11 districts which participated in the inaugural season of this project.
In the 2010–11 season, Sham Shui Po achieved promotion to the Hong Kong Second Division.
In the 2011–12 season, the club was promoted to the top-tier Hong Kong First Division for the first time in the club's history after winning the Second Division league title, but was relegated after finishing bottom out of 10 teams.
In July 2022, Sham Shui Po accepted HKFA's invitation to be promoted to the 2022–23 Hong Kong Premier League.
Il club è stato fondato nel 1938 come Yuen Long Football Club. Nel 1968 la società si trasferì a Sham Shui Po e assunse il nome attuale.
Lo Sham Shui Po ha vinto il campionato di Hong Kong per tre volte, nel 1959-1960, nel 1960-1961 e nel 1962-1963. Ha anche vinto la Coppa di Hong Kong per sei volte, nel 1960-1961, nel 1962-1963, nel 1964-1965, nel 1965-1966, nel 1967-1968 e nel 1970-1971.
Lo Sham Shui Po è uno dei club più antichi e più forti di Hong Kong. Ha una grande tifoseria ed è sempre molto competitivo nei principali tornei del paese.
Lo Sham Shui Po è allenato da Lee Chi Kin e il suo capitano è Roberto Affonso Júnior. I colori sociali del club sono il rosso e il bianco.
